Delhi added 12,306 Covid cases, 43 deaths

New Delhi: Delhi on Thursday reported 12,306 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 43 more fatality due to viral diseases, while the level of prospective fell to 21.48 percent, according to data distributed by the City Health Department.
This is the highest number of deaths reported in a day since June 10, 2021, when 44 fatalities are recorded.
As many as 396 people surrendered to Covid-19 in the National Capital so far in January.
According to officials, a total of 57,290 Covid-19 tests were carried out on Wednesday, by opposing 57,776 a day ago, data showed.
Delhi has recorded 35 deaths and 13,785 cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday with a level of participation of 23.86 percent.
The city has recorded 28,867 cases of Covid-19 last Thursday, a single-day surge in the sharpest since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number then decreased to 24,383 on Friday, 20,718 on Saturday, 18,286 on Sunday, 12,527 on Monday, and 11,684 on Tuesday.
The level of participants reached 30.6 percent on Saturday, the highest in the ongoing wave of pandemic so far, 27.9 percent on Sunday, 28 percent on Monday and 22.5 percent on Tuesday.
There were 15,589 beds for covid patients at Delhi Hospital and 2,698 (17.31 percent) of them were occupied.
2,539 Covid patients were in hospitals and 152 of them in ventilator support, the health department bulletin stated.
Of the 68,730 Covid case active in Delhi, 53,593 recovered in house isolation, he said.
Previously on that day, the Health Minister Satyendar Jain said it seemed Delhi had passed the third wave of Covid-19 but warned that the city had not come out of the danger zone.
The minister said Delhi recently saw a record of more than 28,000 cases of everyday cases and the level of participants had also exceeded 30 percent.

the number of cases of everyday has fallen in the last few days.
More than 13,000 cases are recorded yesterday with a level of participants close to 24 percent.

On Wednesday, Jain said the level of participants in the national capital was not low enough to lift the restrictions imposed on the spread of viral diseases and that the government would monitor the situation for three to four days.
Since last week, ministers have said that hospital admissions have been stabilized in the national capital and the third wave has increased greatly.
Jain also said that no one was rejected by the test and the Covid authorities followed the guidelines issued by the center.
“They (center) say contacts are at high risk of covid patients and those who have symptoms must be tested.
On Tuesday, they clarified that the test was carried out in several bags in the community too, which we did,” he said.
Delhi has done 50,000 to 60,000 coronavirus tests every day for the past six months, he added.
The Delhi government on Thursday limits conventional RT-PCR tests in private hospitals and laboratories at RS 300, reducing the price of 40 percent, according to orders.
Previously, this test was used for Rs 500 fees.
Quick antigen tests in private facilities will cost Rs 100, orders stated.
