New Delhi: All driving skills tests and student license tests have been suspended by the Department of Transportation considering the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
However, the “facial service” online department will continue to function.
Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Wednesday tweeted that all promises to direct SIM and student license tests, both existing and fresh promises, at all RTOS will be suspended from 6.
January.
He said the decision was taken with the increasing number of Covid-19 cases and the latest guidelines issued by Delhi Disaster Management Authorities (DDMA).
“The details for the rescheduling date will be sent to all applicants via SMS.
We will expand the validity of the existing LLS,” Ministers Tweet.
The order states that all activities relating to driving skills tests and student license tests, for fresh online meeting appointments and applicant tests for existing appointments have been suspended.
The current promise will be rescheduled and SMS sent to the applicant.
“All faceless services will continue in all zonal offices while ensuring the appropriate behavior of covids such as sanititis, social distance, wearing masks, etc.
According to DDMA guidelines,” said the order.
The fitness test for commercial vehicles will continue while ensuring the right Covid behavior because the command is mentioned that fitness is important to stab goods goods and public transportation to provide important services.
Following the direction of DDMA, the Department of Transportation Department enforcement staff will examine public transport vehicles for compliance with guidelines.
The department has also appointed the executive director of the Inter-State bus terminal as a nodal officer for the third ISBT in Delhi.

The ISBT general manager has been appointed as a sub-nodal officer to monitor the right sanititis and ensure social distance and other behaviors that fit Covid in ISBTS.
The Department of Transportation also directs the management of Delhi Transport Corporation and Cluster schemes to follow the DDMA command in “Letter and Spirit”.
The department has ordered that steps to contain the spread of Covid-19 must be applied with direct effects in all zones and the field office.
The state transportation authority will address separate orders at passenger capacity which is permitted on the bus by DDMA.
