Ahmedabad: The third wave of Covid pandemic in Gujarat seems to receive without causing deadly damage as the second wave did.
Analysis so far shows that while the third wave is steeper than the second, it is also less deadly.
Experts link this to the omicron variant that is less severe – which now contributes to most cases in Gujarat – and the fact that more than 85% of the eligible population in this country has been fully vaccinated before the waves begin.
