Hyderabad: Aimim Party Workers held a protest at the Telangana Council Office Wakf against the demolition of places of worship on the disputed property near Shamirpet.
According to the police, an official Council of the Wakf filed a complaint on Monday night allegating that individuals entered without permission to the land of Wakf and destroying places of worship.
Based on complaints, the police registered a case against private people under various parts of the IPC and ACT Wakf.
During the initial investigation the police learned that the property that was considered estimated to be around 8 to 9 hectares had Wahed and in 2009 he sold it to Satyanarayana.
A few years ago satyanarayana sold it to Reddy Vuroda and while developing property a few days ago, they had destroyed the place of worship left, Shamirpet police said.
On Tuesday, Aimim activists held protests at the location and also at the Wakf council office against demolition.
The police were deployed to prevent unwanted incidents.
