Jaipur: Mansarovar among urban areas and kotputli on the edge of the countryside is the worst dengue zone when the city continues to witness a surge in seasonal disease transmitted through vectors.
A large number of patients from Mansarovar, the walled city and the Vaishali Nagar region reaches hospitals and clinics with symptoms of dengue fever.
Rain, Mansarovar has reported 167 cases of dengue fever, a walled city of 112 and Vaishali Nagar 111.
The Dravyavati River in Mansarovar also turned into a soil of mosquito breeding.
Health department officials are carrying out anti-larval operations along the river bank.
“We have intensified our operations and anti-larval operations throughout the city,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer (Jaipur-I).
In rural areas, Kotputli has reported 299 cases to date.
Kotputli has always been a high-risk area for dengue fever because it has a history of the outbreak of diseases transmitted through vectors.
Sanganer, who is also among the worst areas of dengue fever, has reported 174 cases.
Dengue deployment is more in urban areas than on the edge of the countryside while 922 people have been tested positive for diseases in urban areas so far, 795 cases have been reported from Jaipur rural areas.
The health department is preparing a diary of the case of dengue fever cases because it is declared a disease that can be notified under circumstances two years ago.
“We sent a list of people everyday from those who tested the positive dengue to Jaipur Municipal Corporation, who then fogging based on the area that witnessed a surge in case,” said a health department official.
