Letter: Two senior BJP leaders, who have shared the stage with the Head of Bhupendra Patel’s head during his visit to the city on Sunday, including 22 people who tested positive Covid-19 on Monday.
Deputy Mayor of Dinesh Jodhani (50) and the city of Secretary General BJP Kishore Bindal (69) received themselves tested after they felt mild symptoms of the virus.
Jodhani and Dibindal were present at the airport letter when CM arrived on Saturday last night.
Jodhani has shared a stage with CM at an event at VNSGU Convention Hall.
“I don’t feel symptoms to this day (Monday) morning.
But because of the sore throat, I can do RT-PCR in the laboratory and the results are positive.
I have isolated myself and I’m fine,” Jodhani said.
Bindal said, “I am not healthy since Sunday morning and has isolated me at home.
My wife and I were tested on Monday and found positive.
All other family members have been tested negatively.” Among the 22 cases, two KP Commerce College students and DRB College along with class XI students from Vidhyakunjia’s school was tested positively on Monday.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old diamond businessman, who had returned from Botswana in Africa earlier this month and was tested positively on December 19, has been found infected by the Omicron variant.
The patient is fully vaccinated and his health is stable.
He was isolated in a private hospital.
A total of 22 people tested positive in the city and one in the district.
Two in Bharuch and each in the Navsari and Valsad districts were found positive.
A total of four positively tested people have returned from countries that are not ‘risky’ and their health is normal.
