Deshmukh case: Anil Puriab appears before ED
Written by news2in

Mumbai: Minister of Shiv Sena Anil Parib appeared in front of the official Enforcement Directorate (ED) to record a statement in the money laundering case connected with the former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh.
Last month, Ed asked for the appearance of Puriab in this case after a controversial police officer (now dismissed) Sachi Waze, in his statement to Ed, alleged that he heard Puriab receive Rs 20 Crore through Deputy Bajrang Kharmate in a controversial transfer of DCPs last year.
Parab has searched for two weeks for the Ganpati and Ed festival accepting his request.
Furthermore, Ed has issued a second call for Purib last Friday for September 28.
Previously, Ed had recorded Kharmate’s statement in this case to confirm Waze’s accusation after searching for a place in Pune.
Officials collect company details and property for inspection.
In July 2020, the Commissioner of Police Mumbai Bir Bir Singh had issued orders for transfers and posted around 10 DCP while traveling, about it then Minister of Internal Affairs Anil Deshmukh and Minister of Transportation Anil Paratab was not happy.
They got an upside transfer order.
In his statement on Ed, Waze said, “After 3-4 days, I knew that after some of the adjustments and consideration of money, the command was issued.
I further stated that I knew about the total number of Rs 40 Crore had been collected from police officers registered in The command and where RS 20 Crore each was given to Deshmukh through Sanjeev Palande and Parab through Bajrang Kharmate, (representative of RTO).
“Puriab’s name was not mentioned in the registered CBI FIR after the Introduction (PE) investigation was carried out in the direction of the Bombay High Court .
The court ordered PE after the petition was submitted before demanding the CBI investigation on charges made by former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh where he accused Deshmukh, then the Minister of Home Affairs, had told police officers Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 Crore from the bar owner at City illegally every month for him.
Ed has registered money laundering cases based on FIR CBI against Deshmukh.
But, the name was cut in the case in Waze’s statement and Desthmukh private secretary (additional government officials collector, is now suspended) Sanjeev Palande.
