MADURAI: General Secretary of AMMK T V Dhinakanan has condemned the Transfer of Tirunelveli supervisors from the police and the sub-modifier of their actions against mineral sand smugglers.
Dhinakanan tweeted that the mineral worth Crores Rupee was smuggled from a stone mine in Radhapuram and Kudankulam in the Tirunelveli district.
This mine has a connection with some Top Brass DMK in the district, he accused.
Chanmadevi Sub-Collector Siva Krishnameorthy and Tirunelveli SP N Manivannan has taken firm action against this smuggler.
The two officers had been transferred suddenly, he said.
He said that there was information that several other high officials would also be transferred in this connection.
Taking actions against honest and direct officers is a matter of worry, he said.
The stone mine in Radhapuram and Kudankulam, is said to have explored more than the number of their permitted minerals.
Krishnakeorthy has carried out a sudden attack on this mine.
It was found that the mineral sand of 4.04 cubic meters lakh had been smuggled from the mine of Isakkipam from Irukkanthurai, without the right permission.
Sub-collectors enforce a fine of RS 20.11 Crore in this mine.
