CSK and RCB each have 10 points from seven matches and they need to win three more than seven matches remaining to reach the playoff stage.
If there is no surprise, it is safe to say that the battle will be among the five teams to close the fourth point in table points.
At present, Defending Champion Mumbai Indian holds fourth place with eight points while Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings are sixth in six points.
Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are in seventh and eighth place each with four and two points and both of these teams face uphill tasks to reach the playoff stage.
