Chennai: Dinesh Karthik will lead the Tamil Nadu team in the Tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 to be played in Lucknow.
The team chosen by the Senior Election Committee of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association featured several players who shone in TNPL recently like B Sai Sudharshan and P Saravana Kumar.
From the Favor India All-Rounder Vijay Shankar has been named Deputy Dinesh Karthik in the squad, which also includes Pacer left arm T Natarajan, who has not performed in the second phase of the IPL in the UAE after he was tested positive for Covid-19, and all-rounder MS Washington Sundar , which recovers from injury.
The team also consists of experienced campaigners like B aparajith, n jagousesan and power-hitter M Shahrukh Khan.
Bowling units include Natarajan, Sandeep Warrier, M Mohammed, J Caira and Spinners R Sai Kishore, M Siddharth and Leggie M Ashwin.
Tamil Nadu, defending champions, features in the elite ‘A’ group in the national T20 competition.
