Kanpur: The International Master of Dinesh Sharma brought victory for the city when he won the Indian Suppak Chess Championship held at Agartala (Tripura) from December 21-26.
Dinesh who worked in Lic in Kanpur remained invincible in the tournament.
About 240 participants have participated in this six-day championship.
Dinesh Drubbed Santoo Mandal from the Income Tax Department in the final round to lift the title along with the trophy and cash prize of RS 35,000.Dinesh collect 8.5 points.
