Kolkata: Next time you want to delete your property tax contribution, take the ChatBot service help and be linked to payment mode and you can use your e-wallet to make a transaction.
Similarly, ChatBot services will also allow traders to apply for the same license or update.
It’s separate, KKS Kuningan will also offer citizens to apply for their property mutations online and upload property related documents for verification by civilian officials before issuing a mutation certificate.
In an effort to offer important services without the hassle of residents, Kolkata Municipal Corporation on Saturday introduced Chatbot services (8335999111) which will provide a number of services.
At present, property taxpayers must visit the KMC website and pay contributions using e-banking facilities through payment gateways.
“After the introduction of the Chatbot service, a citizen only needs to type an assessment number and get details about the contribution and will automatically connect the applicant for the payment option.
The new system will provide applicant’s coverage to use a debit / credit card or only e-wallet wallet for tax payment Property, “said Sandipan Saha, MMIC and IT KMC advisor.
Similarly, sophisticated software will enable property owners who are looking for mutation certificates to upload documents related to their property (registration and other important paper-related papers related to ownership) on the website of the KMC assessment department for verification by the KMC crawlers.
If the document is valid, the assessment department official will provide a green signal online.
At present, there is no room for property owners to upload documents regarding its property online to verify the document by the KMC assessment department official if the mutation certificate issued.
In 2016, the KMC assessment department has introduced online mutation certificate services for residents.
The same thing is now modified with a new option to upload documents.
In the event of the issuance of the Certificate of Trade License or the Certificate Update, traders can use the ChatBot service and get certificates without going through obstacles.
Residents welcomed the Civic initiative and expressed hope that the new system would work effectively.
“It seems to be a simplified platform for payment of property tax.
The scope given to residents to upload documents related to property to obtain a mutation certificate is expected to bring assistance to property owners,” said Bisarnit Saha, a resident of Jadavpur.
A senior official at the KMC assessment assessment department said they depended on the service of the Civic body IT personnel.
“We are ready to serve residents.
But we need sustainable support from IT personnel,” the official said.
