Coimbatore: District administration is preparing to obtain 3,800 hectares of land in Annur and Mettupalayam Taluks to establish an industrial park proposed by Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
Tidco officials have visited six villages in two taluks and identified land for parks a few months ago.
The District Revenue Department official said Tidco officials have identified land in Akkaraisengampalli Village, Kuppanur, Pogalur and Vadakkalur in Annur Taluk, and the villages of Iplpanasatham and Bellepalayam in Mettupalayam Taluk.
Revenue officials said, “They have identified empty land of 3,800 hectares in two talents.
More than 80% of land owned by private companies.
Tidco will bear the costs of land acquisition.
Until now, the surveyor of Mettupalayam and Annur Taluk have completed a land survey in six villages .
“Two months ago, Tidco officials from Chennai had visited the villages and examined vacant land in front of the income officer of PS Leela Alex, Annur Tahsildar Rathinam and other income department officials.
“The value of land has not been resolved.
After Tidco approved the land acquisition, we will start a basic job.
Industrial parks will produce employment opportunities for young people in this district,” the official said.
The G SS district collector is as precisely to tell TOI that it will be a large industrial park.
“Our main task is to acquire land for Tidco to establish a park, which will spur the growth of the industrial sector in this district.” Other sources said the project was at its initial stage.
“Once the acquisition of land began, Tidco officials will hold meetings with entrepreneurs in the district and decide on the type of park.” Tidco facilitates large industrial projects and infrastructure in the state with large investments and great potential work.
This is a development body for the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, Chennai-Kanakuum Industrial Corridor, West Corridor (Kochi-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor) and Defense Industry Corridor Project.
