Pune: The district is currently ranked second in the state in managing the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine with a target population of 54.16% getting a shot, stating the report of the Maharashtra Public Health Department.
Mumbai launched the current list with 66.06% of the beneficiaries of obtaining both doses.
The report stated that Mumbai had reached 100% of the first jab inoculation, while Pune included 95% of the target population with the first dose.
The report states that only 13 districts in this country have recorded 80% or more vaccinated for the first dose.
Of the 13 regencies, only four – Mumbai, Pune, Bhandara and Sindhudurg – have given the first dose of up to 90% of their target population.
According to the report, only three districts – Mumbai, Pune and Sindhudurg – have more than 50% of the coverage of second dose vaccination.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, told TII, “The level of vaccination in this district has been circulating, belonging to the Ministry of Health Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Civic Bodies, and Pune Restory offers the right infrastructure and instructions on inoculation.” He said the next target for Pune District was to reach 100% of the first dose vaccination on December 15 and covering 60% of the target population with second shots in November-end.
Sanjay Patil, Chairperson, the Indian Hospital Board, told TII, “Private hospitals have also played an important role in vaccination in this district.
Sufficient doses are available with private hospitals during the initial phase, when vaccines are offered for free, and later, and later, and later When paid.
