DLSA receives 3,681 petitions related to the bank before Adalat today

Thiruvananthapuram: The number of petitions related to the problem of bank recovery received by the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) here is a reflection of the financial crisis that is currently below.
According to the DLSA authorities, they have received 3,681 petitions related to the problem of bank recovery under national banks in front of Adalat.
Adalat, which is part of the National Lok is, will be held on Saturdays here.
Secretary of the DLSA and Sub-Judge K Vidhyadharan said that this number is relatively high when compared to the adalat carried out in the past and it is a clear reflection of how the pandemic has influenced the community financially.
“The advantage of it is that it will help to find a peaceful solution for problems through mediation which is too no court cost and we hope people take advantage of this opportunity to resolve their cases instead of choosing desperate steps, ‘ ‘Judge said.
This is the second offline national adalat carried out since the second wave of pandemics hit the country.
The first adalat was conducted in September this year.
However, people participation were low during the event.
Maybe people are still worried about the pandemic at the time (in September), the judge said, adding that the application received in Adalat will come higher than what was held in September.
Other categories of cases that will be considered in adalat and the number are as follows; The petition submitted by the private sector (341), pending cases in court (1,396), motorcycle accidents claimed the case (789) and petition by BSNL (89).
The court case included criminal cases, civil cases, cases of domestic violence, cases delayed in family trials, cases of land acquisition execution to dispose of pending small cases.
More than 29,000 small cases will be removed during this special sittings on Saturday.
This mainly consists of cases listed under the Ordinance of Kerala Epidemic Disease.
“The number of small cases has increased a lot of folds since the ordinants are enforced.
We have made a special drive since December 1 to dispose of these cases.
On Friday, there were more than 29,000 cases delayed to be discarded, “Sub-Judge K Vidhyadharan said.
He added that those ordered under this procedure could take advantage of this opportunity to pay their punishment because it was a day that did not work, a second Saturday.
Violators can pay punishment by appearing directly or through their advice.
Adalat is being held after a tight Covid protocol.
Sittings will be held in a court complex in Thiruvananthapuram (Vanchiyoor), Neyattinkara, Nedumangad and Attingal.
