Rajkot: While he risked his life to save his consertuation, an employee of the company Angadiya was robbed from Rs 47 lakh in cash, in addition to diamonds and gold jewelry in the Una bus holder at the early hours of Tuesday.
Babu aka Raman Patel, who worked at the Fatel Somabhai Ramdas firm, pursued two robbers and attached to the duo of the car used to leave, but his brave efforts did not bring any results.
Previously, Patel had taken a bus for Bhavnagar to carry valuables worth 60.8 lakh in the bag at Una Bus stood around 5.45 in the morning.
Before the bus began, two men with their faces covered with masks, entering the bus and grabbed the bag from Patel – all in a few seconds.
Even though the employee chased, the Duo, however, escaped in the car waiting outside the bus stand.
The police said that two feet had sat in the car and when they saw Patel chasing the duo, they opened the car door first and drove inside.
Patel attached to the door of the car driver and was dragged for several meters, before being thrown.
Then on that day, the car without registration plates was found left in a quiet place at Bhavnagar Road.
The police said they were trying to find out the owner based on the machine number and chassis.
“The Different LCB and SOG teams have been emphasized into the investigation.
We will go through CCTV camera footage from Una and Bhavnagar Road and also try to track them based on mobile networks,” said a police officer.
