Drug control department collects details about the Covid test kit buyer

Mangaluru: Administration Dakshina Kannada has begun to collect details of drug stores from those who buy Covid-19 test kits, fear of these buyers can escape quarantine if they are countless after infection.
The collection of information starts on Monday, under the direction of the district drug control department.
A senior department officer said the buyer’s contact details will be given to the Ministry of Health.
Proprieters from several drug stores and pharmaceutical businesses said they got a round.

If the buyer’s test is positive, it is expected to update the results on the application, which will reflect the ICMR website.
However, there is no existing mechanism to check whether the results are indeed being updated, district health workers are customer details.
On Tuesday, he sold around 15 kits to social service organizations, he said.
Representatives from Ganesh Medicals said that demand for kits increased in the last 15 days.
“We sell an average of 20-25 kits per day, for Rs 250,” he said.
Manohar Shetty, Managing Director of the Sai Radha Group, said sales were not as high as Mumbai or Bengaluru.
“About 8-10 home testing kits are sold per day.
Today, the level of consciousness is high, and people take care of themselves coldly and fever immediately, because of the high recovery,” he said.
Mohamed Kunhi, the medical owner of the unity, said the kit was sold for the first time in the second wave.
“We got a complaint that the results were inaccurate.
Every time a customer asks for a kit, I suggest they go to the nearest public health center and choose the RT-PCR test.
We have sold only two kits so far,” he said.
He added that he had also received a round from the drug control department who asked for detailed buyers.
