T’puram: Alex P James, Dean Associate (Academic), Digital University Kerala (DAK), is registered between the top 2% of the world.
James is displayed in the list prepared by Stanford University and Elsevier BV, a publishing company based in the Netherlands, for the second time in a row.
Six members in the Duk Study Council existed in the list of the top 2% of scientists.
James is displayed in two lists prepared by Stanford-Elsevier based on career data and a one-year impact.
In a one-year impact, he was ranked 294 among 1,05,029 scientists in the world and eighth in India in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.
According to Stanford – Elsevier reports published last week, this ranking is based on the top 100,000 with a C score (number of quotes, excludes self quote) or a 2% percentile rating or higher.
Apart from James, a member of the Duk Study Council, Vincenzo Pieri from the University of Milan, Misra Sudip from IIT-Kharagpur, Swagatam Indian Statistics Institute, Kolkata, Ajith Abraham from the Research Labs Intelligence Machine, Suresh H Cherumuttathu from Niist, Sudhakar C Reddy of Isro is in list.
Among them, James, Misra, Das and Abraham were at the top 0.5% in the world.
James Research Specialization Areas include AI Hardware, VLSI Neuromorphics, intelligent imaging and analog machine and electronic learning.
He was a professor who was responsible for the village maker, Kochi and Head of Investigator for the center of excellence in smart IoT sensors, both under Duk.
James is also a founding seat for the IEEE Kerala circuit and system system, and is a member of the UK computer community, and engineering and technology institutions.
