Amsterdam: The main Dutch Pandemic expert advisor panel was recommended on Thursday wearing the first partial kuncian of Western Europe since the summer, pressing the government to take drastic and unpopular acts to fight the Covid-19 surge.
The caregiver of the government’s Prime Minister is expected to make a decision on Friday about new steps after the recommendation of the outbreak management team, the expert panel, NOS broadcasters report.
Among the steps considered is the cancellation of events, close the cinema and cinema, and the previous closing time for cafes and restaurants, the NOS report said.
The school will remain open.
The government is often, but not always, follows panel recommendations.
Lockdown has been considered unthinkable in many developed countries because vaccines are widely launched, even when infections soar to record.
Countries such as Britain relied on vaccine amplifier shots to increase immunity and avoid their extraordinary health care system during the winter.
The Netherlands has so far provided Booster Shots only to a small group of people with a weak immune system.
Apart from the level of adult vaccination approaching 85%, hospitals in several parts of the Netherlands have been forced to reduce regular care to treat coronavirus patients.
Last week, the Netherlands introduced a mask and expanded a list of places that needed what was called “Corona Pass”, which showed vaccination or negative test results, to gain access.
Institute for Health Netherlands (RIVM) on Tuesday reported a weekly case up 45% to 76,790, or more than 400 per 100,000 people.
