Mumbai: Business Business Satyajeet Deshmukh, who received a sub-contract consultation from the international contractor appointed to the coastal project, the Sea Bandra-Versova link and the Nagpur-Mumbai Highway Project, were under the ed scanner.
Deshmukh is a cousin away from the former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh.
Sub-contracts are taken in the name of INNOWAVE ENGINEERING & ADVISORS, where Satyajeet is a CEO with a 30% stake while the remaining 70% with Ajay Dhawangale.
Ed is investigating if the company switches Rs 10.9 Crore to Anil Deshmukh.
Satyajeet operates one of his offices from the BMC office building in Byculla after spending RS 70 Lakh on the interior design.
In a statement to ED, Satyajeet admitted that he would attend various meetings in the official Bungalow of the Minister of Examination (Anil Deshmukh) when the Minister would summon senior IPS officers to discuss the procurement of direct supporting vessels, vessels equipped with specialty for coastal security.
Ed recorded Satyajeet’s statement in a money laundering case against Anil Deshmukh and it was part of the Chargesheet submitted before a special court recently.
INNOWAVE pays Rs 7.1 Crore to advance project management consultants and global business consulting services.
It also paid Rs 3.8 Crore to Ansh Infratech, which was under Ed Scanner.
Satyajeet told Ed Ajay Dhawangale was the right person to explain Rs 10.9 Crore transactions because he had been close to Anil Deshmukh.
Ajay Dhawangale said: “I have no personal or financial relationship with Anil Deshmukh.
Unfortunately, Satyajeet is one of the directors in my company and therefore my name has been dragged into controversy.
Satyajeet cannot provide the original payment details of Rs 10.9 Crore Paid my company to our suppliers, but I explained it to ED and send related documents.
“In a statement to ED, Satyajeet said YOOSHIN Engineering Corporation (Korea company) JV with TEC4 (Spanish company) appointed Innoura as a sub-contractor for coastal consulting work Even before BMC gave him a contract in 2018.
Yooshin Engineering got a consultation agreement worth Rs 83 Crore for the coastal road package between Princess Street Flyover and Priyadarshini Park.
They sub-contract work to Innouraave for RS 33 Crore.
INNOWAVE has received Rs 17 Crore for their services.
Similarly, Yooshin Technique together with Multimedia Consultation (A Ahmedabad company) received a consultation job for the Expressway Samruddhi 9 project package Innoura also received a sub-contract for the Bandra-Versova sea link proposed from the US Louis Berger consultant.
