Vadodara: The eight-foot crocodile was heavily saved from the suburbs on Saturday night by Gujarat community volunteers for prevention of cruelty of animals (GSPCA).
The reptile was saved from Dumad Village and was handed over to forest officials.
GSPCA volunteers said that reptiles might have traveled from the Wiswamitri River and crawled into a puddle of water on the roadside in Dumad Village.
Local residents saw reptiles and notified GSPCA about his presence.
During the rainy season, crocodiles often explore from the Wiswamitri river, home to hundreds of reptiles.
Dozens of reptiles also live in ponds throughout the city and this also migrated from one body water to another body during the rainy season.
