Rajkot: Eight people were ordered to kidnap and treat a 65-year-old man during the business competition by Vichiya police in Rustic Rajkot on Friday.
Pratap Khachar’s accusation, Anu Khachar, Valku Khachar and Vanraj Kathi allegedly kidnapped Gabhru Chavda on Thursday night.
They took him to a place isolated and struggled.
After that, he was taken back to a village where Dhiru Khachar, Shivku Khachar, Umed Khachar and Ranjit Khachar also beat Chavda mercilessly.
Chavda suffered several fractures on both legs, police said.
The police said that Chavda and his son had secured a sub-contract from the government to put the water pipe desired by the defendant.
