Mahoba: A 65-year-old man suspected of killing his wife after a dispute about money in Sijhari Village in the Srinagar police station here, police said on Monday.
Chiddu Kushwaha’s allegations (65) attacked his wife Parmi (61), who was sleeping on the terrace, with Sunday night, and then escaped from the place, Sho, said Police Srinagar, said Anil Kumar.
He said the police team reached the place after the villagers told security personnel about the incident.
The body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem examination, Kumar said.
According to the police, Chiddu asked his wife to withdraw the money stored in the bank, but he refused.
In anger, he attacked him with ax on his neck after he slept.
Sho said the little couple’s grandchildren were present at home and then told others about the incident.
In the late son’s complaint, Parshuram, a case had been submitted and effort was made to arrest the defendant, he added.
