Rajkot: Electric short circuits trigger a fire at the hotel restaurant near Limda Chowk in Rajkot at The Wee Hours Saturday.
According to fire officials, the fire began at the hotel silver sand restaurant at around 2:30 a.m.

However, a guest stayed on the third floor of the hotel, was saved by firefighters.
The hotel manager suffered a small burn injury to his leg.
Fire official said that the fire was watered within two hours because eight fire tenders were pressed into the service.
However, smoke continued to steam the building until morning.
“Our focus is to extinguish the fire as soon as possible because there is a gas station right next to the building,” API official said.
He added that the restaurant on the ground floor and two floors above suffered great damage.
“Prima facie seems to be an electrical short circuit triggering fire, but the exact cause will be known only after a detailed investigation,” he said.
