Tesla finally launched an awaited software update that allowed the owner to request access to a controversial full self-driving package, also called the FSD package.
News updates were distributed by Tesla’s own CEO on Twitter where he said “The FSD beta request button will live tonight, but FSD 10.1 requires 24 hours of testing, so tomorrow night.” Some selected users have already been given access to FSD beta software for testing purposes.
The release of the update marked one of the rare occasions where Musk adhered to the deadline when he promised the update last week when he replied on Twitter users who said “Beta button will ask permission to assess driving behavior using the Tesla insurance calculator.

“The FSD package includes the active guide system, ‘navigating on the autopilot feature’, the parking feature called ‘Summon’ and many other features that have missed Tesla’s car will be left behind.

The controversial package update was first promised by Elon Musk six months ago.
