Gandhinagar: Gujarat Government has formed a high-level task under the former Union Union Secretary Union Hasmukh Adhia to increase the contribution of Gujarat to achieve PM Narendra Modi’s goal to make Indian economy $ 5 trillion in 2024.
The task was also the mandate to prepare a blueprint reaching GSDP (Ash state domestic product) amounting to RS 27.5 lakh crore in 2024.
At present, GSDP Gujarat is 16.5 lakh crore Rs.
The resolution of the State Finance Department reads, “The issue of formation of tasks based on Hasmukh Adhia’s leadership for working on Gujarat government strategies because it makes the Indian economy of five trillion dollars in accordance with the PM’s vision The next three months about possible actions to maximize Gujarat’s contribution to the size of GDP $ 5 trillion in 2024.
” Other members of Taskforce will become Manoj Das, Additional Head of Secretary (ACS), Ports & Transport; Mamta Verma, Primary Secretary, Energy & Petrochemical; Millind Torkee, Secretary (economic affairs), the Ministry of Finance; and Rakesh Shankar, Secretary, Planning and General Administration Department.
A key that is aware of developments said: “The task has been formed very late to assess the contribution of Gujarat to achieve the vision of PM against the economy of $ 5 trillion in 2024.” Officers added: “The Committee will provide a report after three months, while our budget will be decided for 2022-23 in March.” Officers proceeded by saying: “Effectively, all suggestions from Taskforce will be considered for budget 2023-24.
Two years are a short range to achieve a drastic increase in GSDP.” Other sources said: “The Gujarat part in GDP is 8%.
To help the country Being an economy of $ 5 trillion, GSDP Gujarat must RS 27.5 lakh crore from RS 16.5 lakh crore in two years.
“This will be very challenging, the source said.
The source said Gujarat had to register almost 25% annual growth rate to meet the GSDP target.
The growth rate projected for 2020-21 is only 0.6% during the growth rate of 2019-20.
“The budget estimate for 2021-22 is Rs 18.7 lakh crore; for 2022-23, this is Rs 21.3 lakh crore; and for 2023-24, this is Rs 24.1 lakh crore,” said the source.
“To include Adhia’s committee advice for Jump Quantum GSDP, the Gujarat government must revise all budget projections first, which is the main challenge because of several factors.” The source was added: “The Gujarat government does not have extra main resources to fund economic stimuli.” Many officials are not too bullish about the effectiveness of new taskforce, because the Gujarat government has ignored the main advice in the report provided by the Committee chaired by Adhia for post-pandemic economic revival.
