Patna: an executive engineer from the building’s construction department, Rajesh Kumar, on Tuesday was arrested by his spoise from his flat in Kankarbagh here while he spoke Rs 8 lakh as a bribe of the contractor.
The search in two flat kumar in the Nutan Apartment in Kankarbagh with concerns Dehuths caused a gold recovery of 1.13 crores, RS 3 Lakh in cash and documents related to its properties in Noida and Gurgaon.
Vigilance ASP Manoj Kumar said 10 gold biscuits, 18 gold coins and other gold ornaments weighing 2,380 kg worth RS 1.13 Crore found in two flats.
He added that Kumar had 16 bank accounts with a total deposit of Rs 27 Lakh.
Papers from five properties, including five-story buildings in Gurgaon and two commercial stores in Noida, were also found.
According to the Alert investigative bureau, Kumar has invested Hospital 3.5 Lakh in mutual funds.
He also invested in a company based in Uttar Pradesh, Infotech Private Limited Engineer.
“During the attack, information about lockers on Axis Bank also appeared.
We will soon find this locker,” VIB said in a statement.
Searching in two flats kumar fell late at night.
Complaints submitted against Kumar on Monday by a contractor, Gopal Sharan Singh, who accused the former demanding Rs 8 Lakh as a bribe from him to clean the Bill of Rs 80 Lakh.
Kumar posted as an executive engineer in the BCD High Court building division.
