LONDON: British Health Minister Sajid Javid on Wednesday rejected the call from a doctor for fresh steps to stop the wave of Covid-19 infection which increased even though the warning they were on the edge overwhelmed.
England reported 223 new deaths from Covid-19 on Tuesday, the highest daily figure since March, and the case was the highest in Europe, with nearly 50,000 new infections reported on Wednesday.
Javid announces offers for two experimental antivirus Covid-19, one developed by Merck and Therapeutics Ridgeback and others by Pfizer, doubling the strategy to rely on vaccines and drugs to limit this winter damage, instead of restrictions.
But he warns that people must be vaccinated and take a booster shot when offered, or “plan B”, which involves limited steps such as mask mandates, a work from home orders and through vaccination to enter the place, may be applied.
“We look closely to the data, and we will not implement our plan B contingency steps at this time,” he said, adding that 5 million people over 16 were still unclear and that cases could reach 100,000 cases a day.

“If we want to secure this freedom for the long term, the best thing we can do is advance (for shots), once again, when it comes.” England has the biggest death of eighth globally from Covid-19, with 139,000 deaths.
But it also has a quick start for the vaccine program and Prime Minister Boris Johnson has raised almost all restrictions in the UK, ending the social distance steps and mask mandates.
The Johnson government said it rely on vaccinations, including booster shots for vulnerable, to avoid winter locking, after closing the economy three times.
But the launch stopped, slipping behind several other European countries, while the Booster program left for a slow start.
“The Covid-19 case is increasing and winter is drawing closer.
If you have not been vaccinated, it is time.
If you are offered a booster, please take the offer,” said Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, adding the mask with crowded room in the room anyway important.
The doctor has expressed concern that an increase in the number of people going to the hospital, combined with pressure on national health services (NHS) from seasonal viruses, can leave hospitals that cannot be dealt with a list and long functions normally.

Andrew Pollard, Head of the Oxford Vaccine Group, said the risk was mainly in the not vaccinated.
He added that the delta subvariance that grew in the UK could not change the image.
Javid said there was no reason to believe that subvarians pose a greater threat than Delta.
