Patna: The state police (Eou) violation unit on Tuesday stormed the premise at the Doriganj Suggestion Police Station, Sanjay Prasad, and assets excavated worth more than RS 2 Crore who were disproportionate with the known source of income.
The Eou team, armed with Waran Search, invaded the residence of Prasad’s father in Samhouta Village under the Sathi police station in Bettiah and Rental Flat in Kazi Mohammadpur, Muzaffarpur.
This is the seventh case of Eou in its sustainable harsh action against illegal sand mining in the state.
Prasad, which is under Penskorsan, is a ranking of the police rank sub-inspector.
He has joined the service on June 30, 2009.
Cop, whose income from a salary of around Rs 60 lakh per month, has collected excess wealth by conviS to sand smugglers in advice, according to EOO source.
Eou also has the input that Prasad washed money by using a bank account several people.
The Eou source said documents that showed RS 71 lakh expenditure to buy a plot had been restored.
“The plot was bought with black money.
The actual value in the paper is very lacking.
In addition, Rs 2.3 Lakh in cash also recovered from the rented flats of Prasad,” said a source.

Meanwhile, Eou also found that Prasad did not even touch a penny from his salary in 2015 and 2016.
Eou Adg Nayyar Hasnain Khan said Prasad had been involved in money laundering.

Eou has found a plot of 1,725 square feet in the name of the wife of SI in Chhapra Lodipur Maripur under the Kazi Mohammadpur police station in Muzaffarpur district.
Plot purchased at Rs 29.8 lakh.
