The rate of vaccination against Covid-19 must be accelerated throughout the world to avoid the “non-vaccinated pandemic”, the Chief Executive of the European Union on Wednesday in his annual policy speech.

In mid-April, 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine were given to UE residents.
Nineteen members of the United States will have their economy back at the pre-pandemic level this year, with others following next year, he said.
Von Der Leyen, wearing a mask praised with a circle of 12 gold stars, greeting lawmakers to the assembly ahead of his speech with a boxing lump.
The former German Defense Minister has handled climate change above his agenda, with a bold step for the EU to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, along with its economic transformation.
The critics say he lacked a promise to make the commission more “geopolitical” as the EU struggling to confirm its influence in foreign affairs.
