European medicine regulators said on Monday it evaluated data on a booster dose for the Pfizer / Bionech Covid-19 vaccine, to be given six months after the second dose at the age of 16 and above.
The Drugmaker submits an application with the European Drug Agency (EMA) which says it will conduct a quick evaluation of the data, with the expected results “in the next few weeks”.

The two dosage shots and pfizer both are based on new MRNA technology.
EMA on Monday also said it assessed data about the use of additional doses of mRNA vaccines in people with a weak immune system.
The results of the review will be given in time, he said.
Last week, the Center for Prevention and Control of European Diseases said there was no urgent need for a dose of booster from the Covid-19 vaccine for fully vaccinated.
