Athens: Southern Aegean Islands Greece marked ‘dark red’ at the European disease prevention center and Covid-19 control maps on Thursday after an increase in infection, which meant all important trips to and from the area were discouraged.
Clusters of 13 islands include the most popular destinations of Greece for foreign tourists – Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes – which, combined, interesting millions of people every summer.
Greece rely on promoting “free covid” islands to attract visitors back this summer, hoping to rebound on international travel will aware of the tourism industry Vititas after the worst year in decades in 2020.
