Chandigarh: After a series of flip-flops, the Punjab government has finally appointed the new Advocococi Advococo A PR S as Punjab New Advocate (AG), according to notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Justice on Monday night.
The appointment of Deol has triggered a debate because he has represented the former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, facing charges in the Behbal burning incident related to the cases of punjab enrollections.

Deol is a famous lawyer from the Punjab High Court and Haryana, who specializes in criminal and constitutional problems.
He was appointed as a senior advocate by the High Court in 2007.
Deol has started his legal practice in 1984.
When AG the country, Deol will become the most senior Punjab legal officer and will enjoy the ranking equivalent to the cabinet minister.
