Patna: The National Police Violation Unit (Eou) of the State Police on Tuesday raided the premise of former Patna Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) Mrityjay Kumar Singh and Discents Bikram Circle Officer (CO) Vakeel Prasad Singh in connection with disproportionate asset cases submitted against them.

Sleuth Eou explores DA worth RS 10 Crore collected by Mrityunjay and Rs 63.14 Lakh by Vakeel.
Both of them were among 41 officers, including suspended Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey and Aurangabad SP Sudhir Kumar Porika, who were previously charged with conviosity with sand smuggles in the state.
Mrityunjay was transferred to the style when he was expelled from the service.
So far, the DA case against 13 of the 41 officers involved in allowing illegal sand mining has been registered by Eou.
Raids against Mrityunjay was carried out in his apartment in the SDan apartment in Gola Road in Patna, his parents’ residence in Globapar Village in Goh, Aurangabad and two flats in the Queen at Jharkhand.
The source said Mrityunjay also collected assets on behalf of his wife Neelam Kumar, and two Brother-in-law Srikant Kumar and Pankaj Kumar.
The source said the RS 1 Crore deposit was found in the name of Mrityunjay’s brother-in-law.
Eou also explored two SUVs worth 70 lakh and RS 39 lakh deposits remained on behalf of Mrityunjay’s wife.
The source said Mrityunjay had joined the service in 2012 and was found to have a total moving and non-moving asset worth Rs 3.11 Crore to total revenue of Rs 71.6 lakh.
The suspended co, on the other hand, has a flat value of Laksh deed worth Rs 12.01 at the Surya Chadra Vihar apartment in Gola Road on Patna and 10 decimal plots with houses built on it worth 24.5 lakh Rs in Namkum, Ranchi.
The source said the raids were carried out at GOLA ROAD FLAT and Parental Residence in Majhui Village in Rohta.
