Beleagavi: The former service attacked his wife who wasolated inside the court at Bailhongal in Bieghiavi on Wednesday.
The victim, who suffered a terrible injury, is currently under treatment at Beleagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS).
The husband, identified as Shivanand Adaki, 36, stabbed the woman in his hands and feet several times, using a machete.
The victim, who bleed the degree, was rushed to the hospital by his advocate and other people with the help of the police.
The defendant gave up before the police immediately afterwards.
The police said he was attacked after they left the court after completing their divorce hearing.
A senior police officer said he brought a missing machete without realizing it.
The victim had moved to his mother’s place at Varoor Village in Dharwad.
He has traveled to Bailhongal court alone to appear heard.
The couple has an eight-year-old daughter.
