Palanpur: Adesh, Professor and Head of the Department of England at the University of Gujarat Utara Hemchandracharya and Previously the Chancellor of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, was forcibly retired after the syndicate passed the resolution against him on Saturday.
Sindis is based on the Lokayukta report which states that PAL has failed to provide a satisfactory reply to the allegations of corruption himself.
The government’s nod to retirement PAL has come last Thursday.
Corruption allegations were associated with their term as Deputy Chancellor of Gujarat University during 2011 when the Gu Campus library was said to have been deceived by Rs 1.7 Crore.
Lokayukta took the case after the education department filed a formal complaint.
On October 14, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Moulik Shah wrote a letter to the University of North Gujarat to take action which resulted in a forced syndicate of retirement from November 1, 2021.
He will get post-retirement benefits according to government rules.
