ETimes caught up with Sara Ali Khan awaits the release of ‘Atrangi Re’.
The young woman in a self-introspective mode, and we went to speak to the many questions that you and I have been waiting to ask.
Sara took all sportingly and answer questions.

What are you leaning towards ‘Atrangi Re’? The presence of Akshay Kumar? The fact that it is being directed by Aanand L Rai? Or, is it a script?
Do not take more than knowing that Aanandji wanted to make a movie with me.
But when I heard the script, I was blown away.
Anandji have the talent to make a simple story, but it’s complicated.
I have been privileged to be part of the ‘Atrangi Re’.
I hear that you’re having a bit of weight loss before dancing in saree in the song ‘Chakachak’ …
Yes I do.
And, I lost all my kilos want.
I tend to eat more.
I do not believe in crash diets; it affects your hair, it affects your mood, it is not healthy.
So I just be careful that I do not overeat.
Have you ever danced in saree, say at home at least?
Not at home, but I had.
Once, at a wedding of my best friend’s mother’s nephew.
But it was not like this as I did in the ‘Chakachak’! Not with this crazy energy!
‘Atrangi Re’ has aroused curiosity; People want to know who was eventually paired with Akshay you- or Dhanush.
Have you ever been confused in real life more than two people, say at school or college?
Not all.
I might think about anything but the decision I took was quite strong.
I tried to be clear in all aspects of life, not just in food.
Hear that you were disappointed when the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ did not do well.
What is wrong with the film?
I do not know what’s wrong.
If the audience does not like it, no problem.
But I love working with Imtiaz Ali Pak, we both work very honest.
Hmmm …
maybe people do not relate to my character, maybe they do not feel for him.
I’m having fun.
It’s time to forget.
Perhaps the person that I am too hard courts.

But your character in ‘Atrangi Re’ also seems to be hard …
I do not agree.
‘Being hard’ is very subjective.
It should just be that every emotion or expression must be justified.
You will see in ‘Atrangi Re’.
If my hard anywhere, it’s for a reason.
It is the duty of the director to control me; which is what Aanandji did, he asked me to play on the front foot.

Just a few things.
What is wrong with the ‘Coolie No.1’?
With films like ‘Coolie No.1’, the audience is very different.
It was quite a shift for me in terms of the audience I think this film is being made for.
You are holding something back.
Did you learn to be very conscious while talking?
I became aware of my image now.
It is important to precisely the right scenario.
Many times I have to say something as a joke but it has backfired and gets misinterpreted.
It was the same girl who has a degree from Belgium.
If I would question out myself asking, I will take care of the nuances associated with it.
I am a bit wary now, but I would not be dishonest.
This does not mean that I do not honestly if I was respectful.
Is your hard image on the screen spills into real life you make a wrong perception about you?
Somewhere down the line there is a loss of susceptibility and relatability, which Aanandji and I have worked on.
Are you disappointed that ‘Atrangi Re-release directly on the OTT? You ask for the theater has been opened …
certain things that are not in our hands, it is better to leave them.
Of course, I love the theater and the experience could replicate it.
Do you watch movies on OTT?
Yes, the last two with OTT see I have ‘Shershaah’ and ‘Mimi’.
Every movie you saw recently and feel you have done that?
‘Mimi’.
