Facebook’s meta-owned launches new features to the Messenger application.
These include split payment options, disappear mode and recording control of new voice messages.
Announced in a blog post, it has also increased the duration of a voice message for up to 30 minutes.
The current duration limit is 1 minute.
Meta has also added recording control of new voice messages to messenger.
This means that the user can preview or pause the message before sending it to another user.
They can also remove recordings or continue recording them.
Screenshot shared in posts shows that the control for voicemail recording will appear as an illustration of the soundbar.
Pause and recording control resumes will be placed on the left and right side of the Soundbar.
Delete and send button will be placed under the Illustration of the Soundbar.
Another feature that comes to Messenger is the disappearing mode.
The message sent in this mode will disappear after they are seen by the recipient.
Users can also send memes, gifs, stickers, and reactions disappear in disappear mode.
To activate mode, open the chat in your mobile and slide up.
Swipe up, and you go back to your regular chat.
Meta has also announced to bring split payment options to the Messenger application.
It will be available for iOS and Android phones and initially will be available in the US.
This feature will allow users to distribute pills evenly among group members.
To use SPLIT payment, tap the + icon in the group chat and select the Payment tab, then tap the Start button.
From there you can divide your bill evenly or adjust the number that owes everyone.
