Patna: The state government has decided to celebrate ‘Family Planning Day’ at 21 every month from September 21, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey said on Sunday.

Various activities will be held today in all health units to promote methods and contraceptives based on fertility awareness.
“In this initiative, the case of unwanted pregnancy, maternal mortality, death and neonatal complications associated with the birth of children can be reduced.
With awareness and acceptance of family planning among people, health workers will reduce the amount of unsafe abortion in the country Part.
Special attention will be given to target groups such as women who have been identified having high-risk pregnancies and newly married couples, “Pandey said.

Likewise, under the Pradhan Mantri Sureshit Matritva Abhiyan, the arrangement for counseling for pregnant women will be ensured to all health facilities on the 9th of each month.
