New Delhi: A month after suspending agitation and abandoning a permanent protest site along the border of Delhi, Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) – a platform with farmers who protested three central agriculture laws – on Saturday decided to launch protests from Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh On January 21 and forward it in poll countries as’ Mission Uttar Pradesh and ‘Mission Uttarakhand’ by calling to vote for BJP starting February 1.
The focus of the new farmers will demand the fulfillment of their delayed problems including withdrawal of cases against farmers, Compensation for their relatives who died during protests and actions against the minister of Junior House Ajay Mishra in the incident of Lakhimpur Kheri who saw the murder of eight people including four farmers and journalists in October last year.
SKM will install a permanent ‘Morcha’ (Site Site) in Lakhimpur Kher to advance the purpose of ‘Mission Up’ which will follow the model adopted by it in West Bengal where they appeal to voters “not to choose BJP” (call to choose Ki Chot ) Without saying who should choose last year.
The 2.0 farmer protest will take his first big step in the field on January 31 by observing the ‘betrayal day’ in the form of demonstrations at the district and block levels throughout the country.
These decisions were taken at the SKM meeting at the Singhu border on Saturday.
The meeting was called to review the progress of the government’s promises to trade unions which led to the end of the protest throughout the year on December 10 last year.
