Mumbai: In indication the core strategy of women’s leaders, forests and electric buses for the Mumbai (MCAP) climate action plan, BMC is set to sign three memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday.
Three Mou included women for climate initiatives, cities for forest campaigns and e-bus missions.
The climate action plan is being formulated by the Civic Agency, along with the Ministry of Environment, and the Indian World Institute (WRI), which has been involved as a technical partner for this process.
“Women for climate initiatives will develop women’s leadership in environmental protection and conservation initiatives in Mumbai.
The cities for Mou’s forest concerning forest conservation, restoration and management have been signed by 57 cities around the world on September 22.
Public awareness campaigns will be launched for Promoting this initiative in Mumbai, and to encourage public participation, “BMC.

The e-bus mission is an agreement under the initiative of the Urban Transformative (Tumi) mobility to improve the best buses.
The Civic body says that WRI, an international organization, will bring important experience at the table when it comes to planning the growth of the best electric bus fleet.
“This will provide an easy technical guide to convert from traditional buses to electricity, and encourage at least five small cities to adopt electric buses in the future,” BMC said.
WRI will help plan e-bus routes must turn on, time and frequency, and all other aspects that can take this service for maximum passengers.
