Coimbatore: City police have formed three teams to arrest a man, who threw acid on a 34-year-old woman here on Thursday night.
The police identified the woman as a native of Radha, a genuine Dharmapuri.
After separating from her husband, he lived in a rented house in Ammankulam in Coimbatore City and was looking for a living as a construction worker.
The 9-night agreement on Thursday, he returned from a grocery store near his house when a man who was transmitted intercepted and threw acid on his face, a police officer said.
“He fled when he cried, stretched in pain.
His neighbors took him to the College Medical Coimbatore Hospital.
He suffered burns on his face and his right hand.
Investigate Investigate revealed that the attacker was not his husband,” the officer added.
The police racing course has registered a case below section 326 a (voluntarily causing sad pain by using acid etc.,) from the Indian punishment code.
