The court also fined Himanshu Chauhan Rs 1 lakh, 90% of whom would be given as compensation to the mother of the late COP Hema Rathod.

In accordance with the details of the case, the 25-year-old Burnt Rathod body was found from a farm in the village of Moti Bhadol in Savli Taluka on February 16, 2018.
The police arrested Chauuh because he was seen with Rathod in the recording of CCTV cameras installed in two different locations.
During Chauhan’s interrogation admitted that he had killed Rathod when he suspected that he had an affair with another man and avoided it.
He also told the police that he wanted to call involvement but did not want to tell his family members because they all liked Rathod.
So, to avoid marriage, he plans to kill him.
The day before the body was found, Chauhan took him to the agriculture where he faced him about the alleged affair that caused a heated argument.
In aggression, Chauhan tried to strangle him and then kick him.
When Rathod fell, Chauhan freezing him by placing his knee on his neck.
Then, to hide the identity of the body, he poured gasoline to him and burned it.
During the trial, the additional public prosecutor C G Patel handed over some proof of the documentary and forensic films against the Chauhen by the court.
The court also took into account the deposition of the prosecutor’s witnesses to punish Chauhan.
The court also directed the district legal service authority to decide compensation for more and above 90% fine paid by Chauhan.
