Gurgaon: Gurgaon City corporation (MCG) has 1,846 outsourcing employees, not including sanitation workers, according to the committee suffered to rationalize staff strength.
In his report, the committee also said the Civic’s body had a total of 6,418 sanitation workers.
Rationalization exercises, which are likely to be carried out immediately, will not affect sanitation workers, MCG officials said.
Commissioner MCG Mukesh Kumar Ahuja is a committee in September earlier this year to rationalize staff, say the strength of the corporate staff is not in accordance with the post subject to sanctions.
“The recent committee submitted its report and rationalization will be done soon so that the excess labor is removed.
There are 1,846 workers outsourcing other than sanitary workers, and we want to rationalize this number.
While doing this exercise, we will ensure that only the staff required,” Ahuja told Toi.
“It has been observed that the power of staff working in the MCG is not in consentance with approved posts.
Obviously, representative staff work under outsourcing policies.

The three member committee consisting of the Supplementary City Commissioner Rohtash Bishnoi, Chief of Account Vijay Singla and Administrative Officer Sunil Kumar was then formed.
Rationalization of MCG staff was also conducted in September 2020, when MCG has ended the services of 557 contractual workers quoting excessive workers as reasons.
This causes a series of protests by workers who seek to withdraw the termination command.
Employees who were stopped last year including supervisors, clerks, water pump operators other than other sanitation workers.
The Civic body spends almost Rs 1.4 Crore every month on the salary of these workers.
MCG has around 9,000 employees at this time.
The MCG Commissioner said that the list of employees from each department will be examined again and then the surplus staff will be stopped from the service.
The Civic body has been in September, the service of three consultants after reviewing their work.
