Mozilla claims that with the new Firefox 95 update, the browser will be the safest one ever.
The Firefox 95 update adds a new sandboxing tool to create a safe browser from Cyberatack through a malicious code.
Mozilla has named the ‘Rlbox’ tool and has started the launch of the tool as part of the Firefox 95 update to the web and cellular browser, according to the report by Engadget.
For RLBOX Sandboxing tools, Mozilla has binded with the University of California and the University of Texas.
While sandboxing is used by several other web browsers too, it is not always effective to withstand more advanced exploitation that can combine two vulnerabilities to pass through browser defense.
“With Rlbox, Firefox will compile the process into WebAssembly and then turn it into the original code.
According to Mozilla, this approach presents two significant advantages.
This prevents the code from jumping between various parts of the program and restrict access to certain areas of your system memory.” , The report said.
Mozilla will use this tool to isolate five Firefox components and this includes the graphite browser font rendering fonts and Multimedia OGG modules.
The company, however, notes that RLBOX cannot protect each component of the Firefox browser such as modules that depend on sharing memory with the rest of the program to function.
