Five die in Airplane, Bus Accidents in Swiss Alps

GENEVA: Five people perished when a glider and also a little airplane appeared in the Alps in the weekend, authorities said Monday, adding that they were investigating if both accidents were connected.
A little airplane with the pilot along with three others aboard, such as a young child, dropped to the Piz Neir mountain in southern Switzerland on Saturday, killing everyone onboard, regional authorities from the canton of Graubunden explained in a declaration.
The wreckage was discovered on Sunday by rescue workers out searching for a glider which crashed nearby Saturday, killing the pilot.
The glider had sprung about one kilometre from where the airplane was discovered, in an elevation of 2,700 meters (8,850 ft ) over the village of Bivio.
Bad weather made it impossible for rescue workers to get that wreck site when they got the phone Saturday evening.
The proper identification of the sufferers had to be finished Monday, the police announcement said.
The Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board (STSB) was exploring the reason for the injuries, for example if there was a link between those, it included.
