Vadodara: Seven people including five Sokhda Swaminarayan Temple Sacred Arrested by Taluka Police on Wednesday for attacking one of the volunteers.
Anuj Chauhan, a Sevak at the temple, has filed a complaint against the defendant on Tuesday night.
However, the seventh was given a guarantee from the police station.
The police have investigated the incident of the attack after the video of the saints attacked Chauhan into a viral a few days ago.
The incident occurred on January 6 when Chauhan came out after hearing a lot of noise some men and women in the temple.
“Chauhan recording the incident on his cellphone when he was attacked by the defendant to make a video.
He said the saints also grabbed his cellphone,” said Kaulji K, police sub-inspector, the Taluka Police Station.
Chauhan escaped from the place and then approached the police.
He took a few days to file an official complaint claiming that he was under pressure not to approach the police.
The defendant has been identified as Prabhu Priya Swami, day of Swami, Bhakti Vallabh Swami, Swami Swami, Swami Viral, Pranav Asoj and Manhar Sokhdawala.
Five priests among the seven were arrested for attacking Sevak temple; All get a bail.
