Vadodara: The Department of Fire and Emergency Department of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has sealed five commercial complexes to not hold on to fire safety norms.
The drive captures the center of attention on Tuesday with a national plaza sealing that stands out in the Posh Alkapuri area.
Officials from the previous Fire Department had closed buildings in the old city and the Sawajigunj area.
On Saturday, the Comprofal Center complex is located in Kuisjigunj sealed.
It was followed by the complex bentit near Gandhi Nagargruh and the Navrang complex in Raopura.
Drive Tuesday, however, is focused on a much larger complex.
The Ministry sealed the National Plaza in Alkapuri and the Silverline complex in Kuisjigunj.
While other complexes do not have a prominent company, the National Plaza has several famous showrooms.
In the celebration season and marriage, the complex remains busy with hundreds who visit it to shop.
The Head of the Head of the Fire Headed by Brahmbatt said that around 3,500 complexes and individual units in the city have issued a notification by the department.
Some of them have fulfilled the notification and take care of deficiencies in the lash of fire safety there.
Brahmbhatt said that the focus is currently in 11 large commercial buildings and 23 such buildings use a mixture.
Many of these buildings have violated the norms since many years now and have not yet regarded repetitive notifications.
Civic’s body is also not in a position to take drastic steps in this matter.
These buildings also have full or high jobs.
In all five sealed buildings has so far been 325 units in it.
VMC has swung in action after the intervention of the Gujarat High Court who listens to litigation of public interest in fire safety.
