Palanpur: Police Desesa completed a road robbery case on Jalan Raya Dhanera-Deesa in the village of Zarda Desesa Taluka in a matter of hours.
The police also arrested Shamtuji alias Pinto Chehuji Darbar (Solanki), at Bharmalji Solanki, Virchandbhai aka Vikrambhai Manchabhai Parmar, Siddharajji Bharmalji Soanki, and Rameshbhai Harjibhai Ravan, all residents of Lunpur in Desesa Taluka.
On Friday, Rasiklal Chokhawala, a small trader dealing with the chili powder business, was on his way home after raising money from his client in Eeco’s car along with his driver, when he was stopped near Visamo Hotel in Desesa Dhanera Road and two.
The man entered the car and demanded that the cash he brought in the knifepoint.
The looters also caused a knife wound in Chokhawala’s throat carrying Rs 7 lakh besides other contributions that he had collected all the total up to Rs 7.52 lakh.
Gion took money apart from two cellphones worth Rs 1,000 before running away from the place.
After this, Chokhawala submitted a gambling complained with Desesa Rural Culeps, who told Palanpur Police Chief, Tarun Duggal and Desesa Deputy Police Chief, Kushal Ojha.
Desesa Police Inspector MJ Chaudhary launched the hunt for the culprit with his team and with the help of technical supervision arrest the culprit and recover earlier money on satuday morning.
