Surat: A contractual staffer of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has been arrested on Sunday day for conducting within a lok rakshak dal employees on Rander-Gorat Road once cops attempted to stop his vehicle.
According to authorities, Rander police station team were on regular check to grab Covid principle flouters on Saturday evening.
At about 5.45 pm, detained Rutvik Patel, a resident of Rander Road, was death from the checkpoint in his automobile if cops signalled him to quit.
He, however, failed to cease and rather tried to escape full pace and in the process knocked down LRD cop, Puja Rabari, who had been likewise signalling Patel into stop.Even following the effect, Patel failed to slow down or quit but drove his automobile’s brakes over Patel’s pliers and escaped out of the place.
